Hello everyone! Hope you are all well. I have a birthday card to share today. I have used Simon Says Stamp Out to Sea background stamp from Send Happiness to make this card. Instead of using using the stamp for waves or water or sea which is what it was meant for, I looked at the design as a Mid Century Modern piece. The lines and the curves especially looked more like it. So I decided to colour the background image using colours from Mid Century Modern era. Here is the card.

I chose teal, muted navy, mustard, orange and cream colours which are the classic colours are Mid Century Modern era. I really love how the background turned out. I also love the depth each curves gives. I trimmed the panel and adhered on cream card base using foam adhesives. The sentiment is from CZ designs Sentiment Strips Reverse Happy from Send Happiness collection. I trimmed and mounted the strips on white cardstock to make it pop against the background.
This is one way to stretch the background stamp. Thinking outside the box to use it. In this case, I only used different colours to make the background look different to what it meant to be. Hope you like it as much as I do. Below are all the supplies I used to make this card.
