Hey everyone, How are you all doing? Hope you are all in good spirits. I have a card share today. I made this card last week actually made a few cards but sharing one today. Sometime, life just takes over. I thrifted a work table from Gumtree. I thankfully took my big car and my husband along to pick it up. The table was unassembled but it was made of solid big chunks of wood. Like the sleeper kind of wood. So help was certainly needed. Then my husband and I assembled the table. The table turned out to be too tall for me. I am a short person. So I thrifted a circular saw for like twenty dollars to cut some of the leg length off and bring the table to my height. I do gardening a lot, both indoors and outdoors. So I decided to make a potting table to work on and store my soil, pots and garden tools. But I wanted it on a budget hence thrifting and custom building it myself. So much fun and learning as I go along. I want to build shelves, sand and stain. But it started raining and rain is predicted for this entire week. That project is on hold till I find clear days to work again. That is what took a majority of my time and energy.
Here I am today sharing one of my cards I made using Simon Says Stamp Crafty Hugs release collection Etched Linear Heart die and Your are Loved die from the previous collection.

I die cut six hearts using the Etched Linear Hearts die. Then sponged distress inks in pastel shades. I have listed all the colours of distress inks in the supply list below. I adhered the hearts die cuts randomly on a white panel, trimmed the panel to 4″ x 5.25″ in size before adhering to a white card base using foam adhesive for dimension. I love the stripy detail on the Etched Linear Heart die cuts. Such a modern detail and adds texture to the die cut.
For the sentiment, I used You are Loved die also from Simon. The backer die is die cut using black cardstock for contrast. The word itself is die cut using white glitter cardstock from Simon and also stacked with two more die cuts using white cardstock. This gives subtle dimension. The sentiment die cut is adhered on the card front using foam adhesive. To complete the card, I added a few April Showers confetti from Simon.

Supplies:

I really love the contrast of the black with lots of white and eye pleasing pastel colours on the detailed hearts. Simple but makes a big impact. Don’t you think?
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. When I finish my potting table project, I will share some photos with you here. Have a wonderful day guys. Until next time… Take care.
