Hey everyone, Welcome back! Hope you are all well and taking care of yourself in this touch times. I was contemplating on what I should do with my blog. Should I stop posting or should I continue to post as usual. I have decided to continue to post as usual because I want at least one part of my life to be normal and this is it. Also sharing projects probably will take not just my mind off the negativity but hoping those who visit my blog.
So here today, I have two project to share using Taylored Expressions new Quad Color Collections. The first one is using Quad Color Collection – Patagonia.

I had real challenge with this one. Although, I love grey colours, what threw me was the brown and green grey in the quad. My first attempt was not good. I loved the concept of the design but the card looked dull with these colors. So I abandoned the card and made another one. Here is the second attempt

So I trimmed the Patagonia colour cardstocks into strips of various sizes. I also added Oreo to the mix. I adhered them vertically on Buttercream Frosting card panel. For the focal point, I stamped the Big Blooms Succulent in Oreo on Sugar Cube cardstock and coloured the image using just grey copic markers. I used warm greys W00 to W03. Using the coordinating dies, I die cut the image out and adhered to the card front using foam adhesive. The sentiment is from Simple Strips Birthday which I Gold heat embossed and die cut using the coordinating die. A few Bits & Pieces White Rhinestones to finish off the card panel. The panel is adhered to Sugar Cube card base.

The second project uses Quad Color – Sahara! I love this colour combo. Muted and trendy! Again, it was a challenge to use the colours as I am normally some one who love bright colours. So I decided to play with the combination to make background panels. After stamping one panel, I quickly figured out how beautiful the quad colours are and got carried away. I made four background panels and hence ended up with a set of four cards.

For the background, I used images from Simply Stamped Feathers stamp set. The detail images on this stamp set are the trendy especially on wall papers. So are the colours of Sahara. I used them to stamp in the colours of Sahara to make four background panels Then I used these panels with Caps Lock dies along with Simple Strips Birthday stamp set and dies to make this set of cards. Here are individual photos of each of the card in this set and their closeup. It is going to be photo heavy so make your self a cuppa and enjoy.
