Hey everyone! Hope you are all doing well. Woohoo! It is Friday! Weekend is nearly here. More than that, today the temp was much cooler with nice breeze. Phew! For past week, it has been hot and humid and miserable. Change of temp and overcast day is so lovely. I was able to craft because of the cool change. Otherwise, it is exhausting to do anything let alone make cards.
Simon Says Stamp Bursting Hearts stencil was sitting on my desk and wanting to be inked up. So that is what I did today. It is a huge stencil and I decided to use the entire stencil and sponge distress inks on an entire 8″x11″ white cardstock.

I used distress inks and good old ink blending tool from Tim Holtz to sponge. The colours I used are Peacock Feathers, Evergreen Bough, Cracked Pistachio, Mustard Seed, Fossilised Amber, Wild Honey, Abandoned Coral, Candied Apple and Ripe Persimmon. Since this is an entire piece of cardstock, I trimmed it into four panels.

I added shadows using Cool Gray makers – C00 and C01 to all the sponged hearts. Followed by highlights using white gel pen.
Using sentiments from Miss You Missy stamp set also from Simon Says Stamp, I stamped them on each panel using Versafine Onyx Black ink and MISTI. Then trimmed the panels slightly to have a border around each when adhered to the card base using foam adhesive.
Here are the photos of the individual cards and the close ups. All supplies used to make these cards are towards the end of the post.

Supplies:

I enjoyed making these cards. All products used are from Simon Says Stamp store. Heart shaped stamps or dies or stencils need not be used just for valentine day celebration cards. You can used them for other occasions as well. Here I used to make miss you cards but combining the Bursting Hearts stencil with Miss You sentiment stamps. This is one way to stretch your supplies. Hope you enjoyed my projects today. If you make your own using these as inspirations, share on social media and tag me. My socials are on the top of the blog.
Thank you for visiting my blog today. Have a wonderful Friday!
Very pretty! Great idea to make a set.
WOW! I love them! I love the dimension from the gray copics. Beautiful cards!
