Thank you So Much with a Bunch of Flowers!

August 15, 2019 Taylored Expressions

How is your day? Mine has been good and a bit busy. I bought a few more houseplants and a few potting mix ingredients to make custom potting mixes for the houseplants. A few plants needs repotting since it has been two weeks since they came home. My house is starting to fill up with houseplants. I really need to stop buying them. Seriously, it is becoming an addiction. Do you have houseplant? If so, is it an addicting for you? Let me know đŸ™‚

Hello and welcome back to my blog. I am Gayatri, if you are new here. I am a papercrafter. Today I have a floral card to share using the new stamp set from Taylored Expresssions called Fresh Picked Florals. I also used the coordinating die for this stamp set. For the sentiment, I used Handlettered Sentiment and it’s coordinating die. So all products used here are new products just released this month.

Thank you card

I used TE dye inks to stamp the florals from Fresh Picked Floral stamp set. This set is a layering set but in clear. So easy to stamp the layers. I will list the ink colours I used in the supply list below. Using the coordinating dies, I die cut them all out. Then I layered and made a large cluster of flowers and leaves on a Sugar Cube cardstock panel. Some of the leaves I glued down and rest I popped up with foam tape for dimension. I really love how colourful and dramatic the arrangement is. I roughed the edges of the white panel using scissors and adhered to a white card base using foam adhesives.

For the sentiment, I black heat embossed the sentiment from Handlettered Sentiment stamp set and die cut using the coordinating die. The coordinating dies from this sentiment stamp set is perfect to pop up the sentiment after making the entire card front or even layer the sentiment on the card front.

A few sparkly sequins from Snow Flurries sequins collection to finish off the card. The colours of the floral arrangement against the white background is so beautiful. Here are some closeup photos.

    Gorgeous card, Gayatri!
I love houseplants, though I have more plants outside rather than inside. đŸ˜‰ All my houseplants right now are orchids, but I’ve been eyeing some others. Trying to think where I’d put them at…All my plants have to have a certain spot. lol So yes, it gets addicting. lol đŸ˜‰

Wow, Shelly! You have Orchids? I love them but I cannot get them to stay like how I buy them let alone get them to grow. I have killed like three of them and gave up. I thought once I become better with my other houseplants, I will give Orchids another go. I am like you too. I need a spot for everything at home. Problem is I make the spot for them by removing other items Lol! Currently what is stopping me buying more plants is the weather. I am waiting for spring and the warmth of the sun. Then I have the outdoor veggie garden to work on too. đŸ™‚ I am glad you are into gardening too. Gayatri xx
