I played with more Simon Says Stamp new Believe In You release products over the weekend. This time I wanted to use unusual colour combination. Colours different to what I normally use. No bright colours. Maybe rich or muted tones. It was a challenge but I liked how the card turned out.
I die cut three of the Carnation Frame die, stacked and glued to get dimension. The using copic markers I coloured the leaves and flowers. For the flowers, I used R37, R39 and R69. For the Leaves I used BG 49 and BG18. I also coloured the frame using the same colours as the flowers.
For the background, I sponged a white panel with Cracked Pistachio, Old Paper and Evergreen Bough distress oxide inks. I spattered with clean lcear water to get texture on it. I adhered this background panel behind the Carnation Frame die cut and trimmed the excess. Really love the rich burgundy colour against the muted teal background.
I adhered this panel to a wonky stitched rectangle die panel and adhered the panel to a white card base using foam adhesives. The sentiment is from Greetings Mix 1 stamp set. I simply stamped the sentiment in black , die cut using Sentiment Label die, trimmed and adhered using foam adhesives. A few of the white Nuvo Crystal Drops and shimmer on the die cut to finish off the card.
Hope you liked my colour combination on my project today. Have a lovely day! I will see you tomorrow with more project share 🙂
