It’s Time to Fiesta! Taylored Expressions Day #3 Sneak Peek!

Hello lovelies! Hope you are all well. Welcome to day #3 sneak peek of Taylored Expressions Feb release. I am so excited to share my projects today with you. I have a set of three cards and an another project in this post.

The first is set of cards using two new products. The stamp set is called Can’t Touch This stamp set and there is a die set that coordinate with this card.

I combined this set with the three new stencils called Folk Art Tulip, Triangle Toss and Double Diamond. I love stencils. Here are the new stencils.

Here are the set of cards.

Card #1

Card #2

Card #3

I used Toffee cardstock for the base and panel. Using the stencils, I sponged Forest Moss and Mowed Lawn distress inks on the panels. Then used the Inside Scallop Circle stacklet and Petite Scallop Circle Stacklet to create the frames for all the cards using TE Pumpkin Pie cardstock. Then I die cut the cactis using Sugar Cube cardstocks and sponged them using Mowed Lawn distress inks.

Then stamped and embossed the details from the stamp set either using clear or white embossing powder. The pots are die cut using Toffee cardstock. The die gives embossing detail on the pots. I highlighted them using white gel pen. All the cacti are arranged and glued to the pots. Then arranged inside the circular frame. The hat is die cut, assembled and detailed added using white gel pen. I added the hats to the tallest cacti.

The sentiment is white heat embossed on Lollipop cardstock, trimmed and adhered below the circular frame. The whole panel is adhered to Toffee card base. I used white Nuvo crystal drops to embellish. All supplies used to make these cards are below.

The second card showcases not only new stamp sets and dies but also new inks and cardstock. Yes! Taylored Expressions is releases three new colours of cardstock and dye inks. These new colours are Spearmint, Peaches ‘n Cream and Raspberry Sorbet.

I am normally a bright coloured girl. But these muted colours are beautiful. I love them especially three of them together with neutrals. My next project uses these colours along with new stamp set called Folk Art Phrases and die called Folk Art Spring.

Here is my card

I used the Double Diamond stencil on Sugar Cube cardstock and sponged Raspberry Sorbet and Spearmint dye ink in ombre fashion from either end of the cardstock panel.

I die cut the birds from the Folk Art Spring die using Oreo and Raspberry Sorbet cardstock. I also die cut two fishtail banner using the Spearmint and Raspberry Sorbet cardstock using Double Ended Flag die and layered them. The sentiment from Folk Art Phrases stamp set is white heat embossed on Peaches’n Cream cardstock, trimmed and adhered on top of the layered banners using foam adhesives. I adhered this sentiment banner on the top middle of the stencil sponged panel with the birds adhered as shown. I added white Nuvo drops on the details and eye of the birds. The whole panel is adhered on the Sugar Cube card base.

Love love this colour combination. Soft, pretty and muted. I am definitely going to explore muted and pastel colours this year. All supplies used to make this card are listed below.
