Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was busy with lunch party to host and birthday party to attend. Plus watching India vs Australia first cricket test match on TV. It was tough to watch because the match was played between my home country and adopted home country. But whoever wins, I am happy. After a nailbiting finish, my home country won today. Next week they are playing my city and I am off next weekend to watch the match in person in our new stadium 🙂
Anyway, I have a bright and lovely card to share using Taylored Expressions new release products. Here is the card first.
I used the new Big Heart stamp to stamp using TE Oreo hybrid ink and colour using copic markers. Then I cut the heart out using scissors. Used black memento marker to go around edges. I picked the least used colour on the Big heart image for the background. That was yellow. Rainbow Bright pattern paper pack from TE has the yellow polka dot which I trimmed and used on the backgound. I adhered the heart on the pattern paper background using foam adhesives.
The sentiment is made using stacked Caps Lock LOVE die and Oreo cardstock. I brushed the top layer with clear shimmer. I adhered this die cut sentiment on top of the heart. The secondary sentiment from Caps Lock Companion Love stamp set. I gold heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of Oreo cardstock. I used TE’s detailed gold embossing powder. I adhered this strip over the LOVE die cut sentiment using foam adhesives. The entire panel is adhered to white card base and embellished with white Nuvo crystal drops and white gel pen.
I just wanted to do a different colour combo for a valentine’s day card. Not the usual pinks and reds. Love the bright and cheerful yellow which makes the purple, orange and touch of pink colours on the Big Heart pop. All the supplies used to make this card are listed below.
Hope this card brings a bright start for your week. Thanks for taking the time to stop my blog. Appreciate it very much.
