I am excited to share new release sneak peeks from Winnie and Walter with you today. It has been a while W&W has released new products. So this release is very special for me and trust it is for you too. One of the package with the stamp sets arrived this afternoon and I quickly whipped up a card for this post. Today is Day #1 sneak peek.
Hello everyone, Welcome back to my blog. Today’s W&W card I am sharing with you is a Christmas card. I have used the new creative screening called Pennsylvania Polka.
I used gold embossing paste on white cardstock using the Pennsylvania Polka creative screening. Instantly added elegance and texture to the background. The sentiment is from a new stamp set called In a Word: Grand Merry. This set will showcased more tomorrow. I gold heat embossed the sentiment on red cardstock, trimmed and sponged Aged Mahogany and Black Soot distress inks to the edges for depth. I adhered them on the background using foam adhesive. The holly leaves and berries are die cut using an older cutaway called In Bloom: Frenchy’s Festive Florals. I brushed with shimmer and added glossy accents. As you can see the glossy accents are not dried yet. I just about finished the card. Here is a closeup of the card.
I am in love with the simple textural polka dot background in white and gold and the bold big heat embossed sentiment. Sometimes just creating a simple card within a short timeframe yields good result as there is no time to over think. Lol!
