Another set of Christmas cards!

I am still making Christmas cards. Last few in the making. Then start sending them out. This set of cards are made using Simon Says Stamp’s older Christmas stamp set called Retro Christmas. I bought this set last year or year before! The set arrived a bit late. So I had not touched it. So this year I decided to use the set of make a few Christmas cards. My pet peeve being international is not able to get the newer Christmas stamp sets or kits in time to use them. I try to get the earlier releases but the good ones come late. Anyway, I am happy I am using some older sets and give them the love they need.

Hello everyone, Welcome to my blog. Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. Mine was just a normal day. But I did make heaps of cards for new releases coming next month and this set of Christmas cards. So make yourself a cuppa and enjoy.

I started with stamping the bigger images from the stamp set on masking paper and cutting them out to make masks. Then I stamped the sentiment on the white cardstock panels. four panels in all. Then I grouped two or three images to mask and stamp above the sentiment on three panels. On the panel below, I just used the Nutcracker image only. I coloured all the stamped images using copic markers. Then added details using clear shimmer pen and white gel pen. I also grounded them using gray markers. I adhered the panel on red card base and embellished with white Nuvo crystal drops and gold sequins. All my cards are similar in layout and process. Just the colours and grouping of images are different.

I think the hardest part of these cards are getting the grouping of images right and colouring. Once I got the first grouping right, then it was assembly line style masking and stamping using stamping platform. I enjoy colouring and I coloured watching TV. So these cards card be mass produced it you wish. Hope you got inspired by my Christmas card set today. If you make a card or set of cards using these are inspiration, please share it on social media and tag me along. All the supplies used to make these cards are listed below.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog today.
