Winnie & Walter August Rerun!

  • Hello and welcome to Winnie & Walter August Rerun feature!

This month’s rerun stamp set is The Write Stuff: Picture Perfect. This is an oldie but a goodie. Very trendy too.

This set will be on sale this month at Winnie & Walter store. There is plenty of inspirations by designers on Winnie & Walter Blog and there is also a challenge that runs for this month. Of course with the challenge there are prizes as well. Check out Winnie & Walter Blog for more details.

Here is my inspiration using The Write Stuff: Picture Perfect stamp set.

I die cut a white panel using Essentials: Katharine’s Cutaway largest rectangle die. Then sponged distress inks in Cracked Pistachio and Spun Sugar. Love these two colours together. Soft and pretty. Then I spattered gold spray using Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine spray. This adds texture to the background.  Once dry, I stamped a few smaller images from the The Write Stuff: Picture Perfect using Cracked Pistachio and Spun Sugar distress inks. I did tone on tone stamping to add interest to the background. I left the panel aside to work on my focal image.

After much deliberation with gold heat embossed on black camera image or white heat embossed on black camera, I decided on white heat embossed camera on black background as my focal point. I adhered this on the centre of the sponged background panel using foam adhesives. Using few more of the words stamps from The Write Stuff: Picture Perfect  stamp set, I stamped them around the focal image as well as on the edges of the background panel.

For the main sentiment, I used In a Word: Cheers cutaway to die cut thrice out of black cardstock and once out of gold glitter cardstock. I stacked glued all the them with the gold die cut on the top. I adhered this sentiment stack on top of the camera in the centre of the background panel. The finished panel is adhered on a white card base and embellished with gold sequins.

Check out Winnie & Walter Blog for more design team inspirations and details of the challenge. All the supplies I used to make this card are listed below.

Have a wonderful week!
