Happy Birthday to a dear friend! One Layer Card!

Hello everyone,

Today i have a one layer card to share with you today. Playing along Kelly’s One Layer Wonder class at Altenew Academy. So here is the card.

There is a lot of masking, stamping, colouring with Artist markers both the images as well as the background. Every thing in this card is one layer except probably the diamonds. Including the sentiment strips. That is a stroke of genius from Kelly. Thanks for the tip 🙂 It was amazing to see the sentiment strips pop looking like they have been added in with foam adhesives. Amazing dimension. I also kind of played along with combining two copic colours to colour the flowers and adding details with white gel pen. I just could not stop myself from adding the diamonds to finish off the card. I want to learn how to colour water drops so I can colour in my own clear or coloured droplet embellishments on the card.

Here are a few photos of the card from start of colouring to finish.

I tried to blend the artist markers on the background but I did not like it. So I added dots using the same colours of Artist markers to kind of mask the brush strokes. You will see them in the closeup photos of my finished card.

All the supplies used to make this card are listed below for you. I am loving the one layer cards and always been a big fan of Kelly. So glad I participated in her class. Thanks Kelly once again.

Thank you for visiting my blog today.
