Aloha! Day #1 Sneak Peek of Taylored Expressions June Release.

Hey everyone!

Welcome to my blog! Today is the start of Taylored Expressions June release sneak peek. I am so excited to share my project with you because this release is just fantastic. I know I tell this to you every release. But this release is exceptional. There are so many must haves in this release. So make sure you write down your wish list over the next three days.  As always, I am sharing two projects using new products. Without further ado, here is my first project.

I used three new products on this card. The first one is the stencil on the background. Its called Bubbly. I love this stencil because it is very versatile. On this card, I sponged three shades of TE dye inks for an ombre effect. The colours I used are the new Blue Raspberry, Cupcake and Saltwater Taffy. Then I added Nuvo Moonstone glimmer paste over it to add texture and glitter to the bubbly background. Since the paste is clear, the blue colour shows through. So thats very cool.

The focal point is a beautiful floral stamp called Big Blooms: Hollyhock. This floral image is large enough to have one image as a focal point on the card or make a cluster of them to fill the entire card. I used just on image so you can see how big the image is on the card front. I colour my Hollyhock using Prisma Color pencils. Colouring this image took me long time because of the layering technique used to get vibrant colours and good blending. I love colouring with pencils so it was not a big deal for me. I actually enjoy the process. I think it is well worth it. Just look at the coloured image? I love how it turned out.

Then I die cut the image using the coordinating die. I adhered the Hollyhock image on the background panel using foam adhesives. The sentiment is using the new Sending Sunshine sentiment stamp set and the Sending Script die and Sending Script Backer die.

There are so many smaller sentiment on the Sending Sunshine stamp set that goes with the Sending die cut. Pick what you want to add to your card. I will link all the supplies used to make this card below.

My next project is a very colourful card. I used two the new Tiki Time stamp and die combo, Aloha Script die and the Flirty Floral background stamp. These products are awesome to colour. So I went to town colouring them using copic markers. Here is my card.

I coloured the background stamp on Sugar Cube panel using copic markers. I used bright summer colours to colour the images. I already love the background and had hard time trimming the panel to 4″x5.25″ lol!.

For the focal point, I used one of the image from the new Tiki Time stamp set. I stamped and coloured the image using copic markers in the same colours as the background Flirty Floral. So now the focal and the background image coordinate. I used the coordinating die to die cut the Tiki image.

Since the background is bright colourful and busy, the focal image gets lost unless I blur part of the background. So I used TE heavy weight vellum to partially blur the background, I framed the vellum piece using a frame die cut out of Stitched Rectangle die and Inside Scallop rectangle die from TE using Chocolate Truffle cardstock. I adhered the Tiki image on top of the vellum panel using foam adhesive. Using foam adhesive behind the Tiki image and on the back of the frame, I adhered the entire panel on the background panel.

For the sentiment, I die cut the new Aloha Script die five times using the Lollipop cardstock. Then stacked glued them for dimension. I brushed some clear shimmer on the top of the sentiment Aoha die cut and adhered the die cut on the bottom of the vellum panel. The whole completed panel is adhered to Candy Corn card base. Love how colourful and coordinated each element is on this card. My bright side is very happy with this card 🙂

All the supplies used to make this card is listed below.
