wed-newchallenge-header

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Thank you for joining us for the Gift It Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is

Stitch It

real or faux, you can even use stitched dies

We are showcasing  We R Memory Keepers  Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have them we would love to see them used.

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store

I have used faux stitching on my card. I love the texture of faux stitching on my cards. The Memory Box die I have used is called Snow Drift Breeze die. This die has faux stitching on it. To add more faux stitching, I embossed the largest of Simon’s Wonky Stitched Rectangle die.

The background is sponged with distress inks. The colours are inspired by the current Blush Pink trend among home interior decor and the Pantone 2018 colour of the year Ultra Violet. The distress inks I have used to sponge and blend on the backgrounds are Victorian Velvet, Seedless Preserve, Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire. I absolutely love these colours. So pretty. Not a big fan of violets and purples but together with the blush pink they look gorgeous.

For texture, I spattered clean water and dabbed off the excess. Then I added some white spatter using Copic Opaque white. I embossed the Wonky Stitched Rectangle die and die cut the Snow Drift Breeze die. I saved the tiny snowflakes die cuts.  I also die cut the Snow Drift Breeze die using silver cardstock and saved all the tiny snow flakes die cuts. Using the same silver cardstock, I die cut some larger snow flakes using Simon’s Big Bliss die.

I adhered the sponged panel on a white card base, inlaid the sliver snowflakes dies and adhered the larger sliver snow flakes as well as the sponged negative snow flakes as shown. I also embellished the card using Moonshine Confetti sequins from Simon which I topped it off with Nuvo White Blizzard crystal drops. The sentiment is from Simon’s Give Thanks stamp set. I stamped the banner using Simon’s Deep Purple dye ink and sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black ink.

So now it’s YOUR turn to take out your crafty supplies and join in!
