wed-newchallenge-header

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Thank you for joining us for the Anything Goes Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is

Christmas Gift Tag

We are showcasing our very own Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have them we would love to see them used.

We are also joining in with, and sponsoring, Tracey McNeely’s 25 tags of Christmas so you have 2 chances to win a $50 Gift Certificate! One on this challenge and one on Tracey’s Blog!

We are kick starting the event as today is Day 1

CLICK HERE to add your tag to Day 1 of the 25 Tags Of Christmas link system

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store

Here is my take on the Christmas Tag.
I used Simon Says Stamp Postage Stamp Edge die to make my tag base. I used the third die to die cut one using white cardstock and the other using an older Kaisercraft gold foiled music pattern paper. I adhered the pattern paper to the white postage stamped edge die. I love the gold foil music pattern paper. Perfect for Christmas theme. I punched a hole on top of the panel and threaded red twine.
The other elements on the tag are all dies from Simon Says Stamp – the new Pine Needle Trio die, Season’s Greeting die and Rylynn Snowflakes die. The sentiment and the pine needles are die cut using pattern paper from the same Kaisercraft Christmas paper pad. The snowflakes is diecut using gold foil cardstock.
To add dimension, I clustered the pin needles with snowflakes on top to adhere on top of the tag panel and stacked three sentiment die cut with the pattern paper die cut on top and adhered below the cluster. I love the use of rhinestones for Christmas cards. Here I have used red rhinestones from Kaisercraft to embellish.
Now I also made another one but this one different. This tag has cooler blue colours.
Exactly the same layout, dies and use of rhinestones but colour is different.
The snowflakes is diecut using silver glitter cardstock. The pine needles using a blue pattern paper also from Kaisercraft pattern paper but a different one to the top.
Sentiment is stacked and glued for added dimension. And I used blue rhinestones here.
Hope you liked both my tags. All the supplies used to make these tags are listed below.

So now it’s YOUR turn to make a Christmas tag!

I LOVE this design, Gayatri, especially the golden one, probably because of your music background – everything works so beautifully together!

What a beautiful design, I really like the first tag with the gold foil paper. I’m making an advent calender for a crafty friend of mine and this style is perfect for the gifts for her.
