OLW-Repetition

June 5, 2010 CAS, PTI, Uncategorized

Good morning! Its a long weekend here in Western Australia. Monday is foundation day. So 3 days off, how lovely! I managed to make a card for One Layer Wednesday challenge- Repetition is this week’s challenge.
This particular idea has been on my mind for a long time. Because when ever I look at my stamp sets, I alway find many many “Happy Birthday” sentiments. All in different fonts. So I decided to pull as many as I can and use it for this challenge. Here is my card.
Well, I am not very happy with the outcome as I have couple of the sentiment crooked! I think if I stamp the same thing on a smaller card and mat it with the color of the ink and layer it on a card base, it would better! I guess I have give it a go and see. All the “happy birthday” sentiments are from various PTI stamp sets. To get the balance on the card, I stamped the large Dot Spot or Spot Dot image (I too get confused, Ted!) using SU’s Pink Pirouette inkpad. The sentiments are stamped using  SU’s Melon Mambo.
Thanks for another cool challenge.
Have a great weekend everybody.
Thanks for stopping by!

Heeeheee! I love the way your blog says this was posted on Saturday June 5th – and we haven't got there yet :0)!! I love your card! The repetition of the Happy Birthday in all of the different fonts is so creative and eyecatching! – this goes so well with the Dot Spot!

I think the sentiments that are crooked add interest to the card! Love those stamps and your card is fabulous!

Love this idea for the sentiments. When I saw Susan's challenge this was the first thing I thought of doing. Great minds think alike:) Of course, I only thought of it — I didn't actually get a card made.
