Hey hey everyone, Hope you are well and safe. I am back with more projects to share. My tennis elbow is much much better. I am able to use my hand without pain. There is still some pain when I twist my hand to open jars or trying to hook my inner wear or lift heavy objects. I hope they will go away soon. I am doing regular rehab exercises which has helped a lot. Seriously how much of a relief it is to not to ask for help for every little mundane everyday tasks. So I am back to crafting and I am so happy to be back on track. Yay!
Here I am sharing with you a set of Christmas Cards using Simon Says Stamp’s new Holly Jolly release products. Since the postage is still slow, I only just got the package. Hence the delay in sharing my projects for the release. Without any more delay, here they are.
I used Simon Says Stamp Merlot and Evergreen dye ink to stamp the Holiday Words background stamp on Kraft cardstock panels. Then I trimmed the panels and roughed the edges with scissors. I then spattered the panels with some diluted white gouche and some iridescent shimmer spray. While the panel is drying, I used the Chunky Joy die to make the big focal point sentiment. The backer is die cut using gold glitter card stock and the word using white cardstock. I left the outline of the word in white but sponged the negatives using Merlot and Evergreen dye inks. These are the same colours I used on the background panels. I assembled and glued them on the backer die cut and adhered to the background panel using foam adhesives. The secondary sentiment is from Sentiment Strip Slimline Christmas. I trimmed the sentiment strip, cut into two and adhered using foam adhesives. Finally a few white glossy drops to finish off the panels. The panels are adhered to kraft card base using foam adhesives.
I love rich colours of red and green with kraft and touch of white or black. These are the kind of Christmas card I love. Hope you do share my love for such colour combination. All the products I have used in today’s projects are available at Simon Says Stamp store. Below are the supply list.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. Have a wonderful day! I will see you soon with more projects. Until then take care…
