Hello hello friends! Welcome back. I have a thank you card to share. I needed one for a special person actually for a doctor who performed endoscopy and biopsy on my daughter for her Coeliac disease diagnosis. My daughter has Autoimmune disease. She has asthma, was iron deficient earlier this year, so had iron infusion, then hyperthyroidism which was treated and the latest diagnosis is Coeliac. We all have the gene but she is the only symptomatic one in the family. We, as a family have decided to go gluten free to help and support her. There are major changes to the pantry happening and gluten free recipes to cook has taken over my brain. Anyway, we are going back to see the surgeon for followup and I wanted to give him a set of cards and flowers or chocolates along with a thank you card. So made this card specifically for the purpose. Without further adieu, here is the card.

All the products I have used to make this card are from Simon Says Stamp. So I used the Thank You text background stamp for the background. I stamped using Carved Pumpkin, Ripe Persimmon and Candied Apple distress oxide ink. I used the oxide inks because I wanted good coverage when stamped.
I sponged distress inks on two panels. On the first panel, I sponged Mustard Seed, Wild Honey and Carved Pumpkin distress inks on one panel and die cut using the new Detail Meadow Butterfly die. Love love the details on this die. I also die cut one using white cardstock and one using vellum to layer the sponged coloured butterfly die cut. The body of the butterfly is die cut using black cardstock three times and stacked and glued to give stability and dimension.
On the second panel, I sponged Evergreen Bough, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean and Wilted Violet distress inks and die cut the CZ design Large Thank You die. Again I die cut two more to stack and glue before adhering to the black backer die cut.
To assemble the card, I adhered the butterfly on top of the panel and the large thank you die cut on the bottom of the panel. The whole panel is adhered to white card base using foam adhesive. A few white rhinestones to finish off the card.

Supplies:

I love all the rainbow of colours on the card and the big bold design of the sentiment and focal image. I hope he likes the card.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. Have a wonderful day. Until next time…. take care!
