Hey everyone, How are you doing? I am good. I am here today to share three projects using new products from Taylored Expressions Father’s Day/Pet release. The release will be available for purchase tomorrow 19th May at 9 am CST. Today, Taylor along with TE design team including me are sharing some sneak peek projects using the new release.
For this release, I have three projects to share with you. I did something different with this release. I decided I will used three ink colours from Taylored Expressions along with neutrals like black and grey to make all my three cards. No other colours. I wanted to see how different cards turn out if I use the same colour combination but different products. This also helps me choose some colour combination which I normally do not gravitate towards hence make me think outside the box. I should say I am pretty pleased with the result. I will use this idea on releases to come. The TE ink colours I chose for Color Combination #1 are Pink Champagne, Raspberry Sorbet, Peaches ‘n Cream and Sea Salt dye inks.

Without any more delay here is my first project.
Card #1

So on this card, I used the new Gus and Gertie stamp set and coordinating die. Omg, I love this stamp set. Such a cute yet stylish animal designs. There are I think three dog images on this set. I used the dog with balloon. There is a dog on scooter and dog eating birthday cake. The font of the sentiments are also very stylish. Such a cute set if you are a dog lover. I stamped and coloured the Dog with the balloons using copic markers. I choose copic colours close to TE dye ink colours I chose. A bit darker shades to couple of colours work perfectly with the background. Using the coordinating dies, I die cut them all out.
For the background, I used Masking Stencil circle, the larger one to sponge Pink Champagne and Peaches ‘n Cream TE dye inks. I used Sugar Cube cardstock as the base panel. I trimmed this panel and adhered to Sea Salt card base using foam adhesive. Then I adhered the die cut coloured images from Gus & Gertie stamp set over the sponged circle background. The sentiment also from the stamp set is simply stamped in black, trimmed and adhered using foam adhesives. A few Bit and Pieces Drip Drops scattered to finish off the card.
The soft circle background makes the coloured images pop at the same time drawing the eyes to focal image and sentiment. Love how this turned out.

Card #2
Now to the second one project. I used the new Silhouette Puppies, Large Breeds and Small Breeds dies along with Paw Prints stamp set. I am a dog lover. Let me rephrase it. I am an animal lover and a vegetarian. Looking to transition to be being a vegan. Dogs, I love them to bits. I have a dog. He is not my pet but my third child. That is how much I love dogs. So I was so happy when I saw these dies and stamp set. I will never ever part with them. Anyway, using the same colour combination, I made this card.

I die cut all the dog silhouettes thrice using Sugar Cube cardstocks. I sponged them all using Pink Champagne, Raspberry Sorbet, Peaches ‘n Cream and Sea Salt. All randomly. On a sugar cube panel, I adhered them randomly covering the entire panel. I trimmed the panel and adhered to card base made out of Sea Salt using foam adhesive. I still have a few dog silhouettes left.
I stamped the sentiment from Paw Print stamp set using Oreo ink on Sugar Cube panel and trimmed it. I adhered this over a trimmed vellum panel using foam adhesive. I also framed this sentiment using the left over dog silhouettes. Before that, I white heat embossed the paw print image from Paw Print stamp set on the vellum panel. I adhered this panel on the card front using foam adhesives. A few drip drops scattered to finish off the card.
Silhouettes need not be black. This is a fun way of using silhouettes. Vary you colours and you will get a different card altogether.

Card #3
To the third project today, I have used a new layered stencil called Plaid Layered Stencil. I love love layered stencils. I also used the new Swinging By stamp set and coordinating dies to make this card. I used the same colour combo as the previous two cards.

On a Sugar Cube panel, I sponged Pink Champagne, Raspberry Sorbet, Peaches ‘n Cream and Sea Salt TE dye ink over the Plaid layered stencil to create a fun plaid background. I think it turned out very pretty. By the time I did this background, I was in love with the colour combination. Don’t you think so? I then trimmed this panel and adhered to Sea Salt card base using foam adhesive.
For the focal point, I stamped the fox image from Swinging By stamp set using Oreo ink and coloured using copic marker. I chose the fox image because of colour that coordinated with the rest of the colour combo. Using the coordinating die, I die cut the image out. I stamped sentiment also from the stamp set on Sugar Cube cardstock piece and trimmed it.
I adhered this focal image and sentiment on a vellum panel using foam adhesives and the whole vellum panel is adhered to the card front using foam adhesives as well. A few Drip Drops scattered to finish off the card.

This colour combination is not my go to. I usually love bright colours. So this is out of my box but I really really love how pleasing it is to the eyes. This has motivated me to try more. So watch this space for many more eye pleasing colour combination from Taylored Expressions.
