Hey everyone, Hope you are doing well. I cannot believe it is March already! Why? Why does time fly so fast? Sigh! Anyway, after all that colours in my previous card from Simon Says Stamp, today’s card set also from Simon Says Stamp, is more black and white with pop of colours. More soothing to the eyes I guess.

I decided to use one of the older stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. It is called Beautiful Flowers stamp set. There are three in this series and all of them are gorgeous and have coordinating dies. I am not using the dies for this card because I am only stamping part of this image in black on the card front direct. Since the floral cluster has so much details on them, they look stunning in black without adding any colour. I stamped two card fronts to make a set of two cards. I used MISTI and versafine onyx black ink for good coverage and crisp stamping of the details.
Now, for the sentiment, I used CZ Like You die. This die comes with a backer die but I used the word die only here. I sponged distress inks in set of three warm and cool colours. I used Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry and Ripe Persimmon for one of the sentiment die cut and Mermaid Lagoon, Blue Print Sketch and Wilted Violet for the other. I sponged the colours on white cardstock, then die cut using the die. I also die cut couple more to stack and glue to give dimension to the sentiment die cut. I adhered them as shown. On one card, I adhered on the top of the stamped floral and the other I adhered on the bottom of the stamped floral cluster over lapping a little. For the secondary sentiment, I used Sentiment Strips reverse Miss You panels. I trimmed the sentiment I wanted and adhered using foam adhesive below the large die cut sentiment on both the cards.
A few Moonshine sequins scattered around to finish off the cards. I love all the white spaces, black detailed floral stamping and pop of colours from the sentiment die cut. Clean, simple yet making an impact. With floral cluster like this one, you can pretty use to make any occasion cards. Change up the sentiment die cut and the secondary sentiment to birthday or sympathy or thank you to suit your occasion. Such a versatile card design.
