Hello and welcome back! Hope you liked my projects yesterday from the sneak peek. Today is the release day of all the new products from the Taylored Expressions February release. So head to TE store or website to make you purchase. The products are easter and sympathy themed.
I have two projects to share today. One is easter themed and the other is a sympathy card. My first card features the new Spring Stems stamp set and coordinating dies. This stamp set is a clear stamp. My favourite set in this release. I combined this set with the new Mini Strips Easter stamp set to make this card.

I stamped the images from Spring Stems stamp set on Sugar Cube cardstock using various TE dye ink colours. I used Lollipop, Candy Corn, Lavendar, Granny Smith and Lemon Meringue dye inks. I also used MISTI to stamp couple of times to get good coverage. Using the coordinating dies, I die cut them all out.
On the card front, I sponged Sprinkles dye ink diagonally fading to the middle. I also spattered some gold watercolour to add interest to the rather plain background. Then I clustered glued the die cut pieces on the the card front diagonally with some pieces glued flat and others using foam adhesives for dimension.
I stamped the sentiment using Oreo hybrid ink on Granny Smith cardstock, die cut using Mini Strips Assymmetrical die. I sponged Granny Smith dye ink on the edges before adhering them on the centre of the card front. Finally a few randomly scattered Drip Drops from Bits and Pieces Collection finishes the card.

The second card is a sympathy card. I used the new Botanical Beauty stamp set and coordinating die to make this one.

I love floral clusters especially the outline ones. This Botanical Beauty floral cluster is more gorgeous because there are so many details on the image. All I had to do is to colour them to bring out the beauty in them. I decided to water colour them. I used TE liquid watercolour to do smooshing technique on watercolour paper. I diluted each colour with water and smooshed on the watercolour paper. Dried using heat gun and repeated the process twice or thrice for each colour. Once I was happy with the colours on the paper and dried completely, I stamped the Botanical Beauty using Oreo ink.
To make the images pop, I used copic markers to add shading and dot details. I also used white gel pen to add highlights to the images. Using the coordinating die, I die cut the image out.
On the card front, I sponged Sprinkles dye ink using blender brushes and spattered some gold watercolour for interest. I then adhered the Botanical Beauty die cut on top of the card front using foam adhesive. For the sentiment, I stamped the Simple Strips Sympathy on Lollipop cardstock using Oreo hybrid ink, die cut using Simple Strips die and adhered on top of Candy Corn backer die. The pink with orange cardstock strips ties in with pink and orange colours on the Botanical Beauty die cut and brings the card together. This finishes the card.
