Hope you all having a great day! Those who celebrate thanksgiving, Happy Thanksgiving Day to you all. Its nice warm and summery in my place. House is a bit calm this week. Hubby has taken my daughter for medical school interviews. We are taking turns to travel to her interviews in various cities. As I am typing this out, she got an offer to study medicine from one of the University. I am a proud bragging mother at the moment 🙂
Back to crafting, I have been making some Christmas cards. The gnome die from Simon was on my desk and I was drawn to use the adorable gnome die to make couple of Christmas cards. All products used to make these cards are from Simon Says Stamp.

I used Outline Snowflakes background stamp on navy cardstock. I white heat embossed the background stamp and sponged Deep Sea and Soft Navy Simon dye inks to add depth to the background. I then used a blue sparkly gel pen to colour the insides of the circles on the background. This adds interest and festive sparkle to the background. I also added plenty of gold and silver watercolour spatters to the background. I trimmed the panel quarter inch smaller to the card base.
For the focal point I die cut and assembled the Gnome die using some old Christmas paper and white cardstock. I added interest to his beard using Cool Grey copic markers. I layered this Gnome die cut using Simon’s Alicia Snowflake die. I die cut this die using white glitter paper from Simon. I also added red pompoms to the Gnome’s nose. For the sentiment, I used Sentiment Strips Christmas. These are so handy and easy sentiments to just trim and add. Love it. The completed panel is adhered to a red card base using foam adhesives. Here are the photos of the individual cards and closeups.
