Hey everyone, Hope you are all doing well. I had couple of hours free today and I made a card. Yay! So happy to share this card with you. I did a lot of ink blending. One of my favourite thing to do. I love colours. They make me happy. Halloween colours! Even more happy 🙂 Then I added texture and sparkle to it using a stencil and glimmer paste. Here is the card.

The distress ink colours I used on the background are Chipped Sapphire, Seedless Preserve, Ripe Persimmon, Spiced Marmalade and Mustard Seed. All products using to make this card are from Simon Says Stamp. I blended the colours few times to get a good blend. Using the Deco Weave stencil from Simon Says Stamp and Nuvo’s Moonstone glimmer paste I added texture and sparkle to the background panel. Once dry, I sponged the edges using Black Soot distress ink to get the dark moody halloween feel to the background panel. I adhered by the panel to the card base.
For the sentiment and focal point, I used Simon’s Trick or Treat die. The backer, I die cut using gold glitter cardstock and the sentiment I die cut using black cardstock thrice, stacked glued and adhered to the background die. To make the sentiment pop, I used a vellum circle die cut layer behind. The sentiment circle layer is adhered to the card front using foam adhesive.
Finally a few black sequins to tie in with all the other black elements topped with white glossy drops to finish off the card.

Supplies:

Hope you like my halloween card. It is simple but the colour and texture along with the big bold sentiment makes a big impact I think. Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. Have a lovely day!
