Today is day #3 of Taylored Expressions October release! Hope you enjoyed the first two days of sneak peek. Tomorrow is the release day. Hope you have your wishlist. I have two more projects to share today. So let’s get started.
The first project uses the new All is Bright stamp set and dies. The stamp set has a big lantern which can be used a big focal point on your card or just as is like a lantern shaped card or like a tag. I have made a lantern shaped card and a tag to show the size of the lantern for you.

The one on the left side is the lantern shaped card. I die cut the lantern after stamping the image using using the new Watermelon ink. Using the smaller die in the set, I die cut the centre of the lantern to make the window. I also die cut a full lantern without stamping for the lantern card base. I scored this die cut and attached it to the stamped die cut to make the shaped card. Then I stamped the sentiment background using Lemon Meringue ink with the sentiment in Oreo on top of it. The smaller die die cuts this piece exactly. I adhered this through the window inside on the back base.
To decorate the lantern, I used the new Winter Greens die set. I die cut the pin clippings from the die set using the new Poblano Pepper cardstock and heavy weight vellum. The bow is die cut using the gold foil cardstock and poinsettia flowers are die cut using the new Watermelon and Gold Foil cardstock, layered and glued to adhered on the centre of the bow.
On the right side, the same lantern stamped and die cut with the sentiment stamped and die cut in the centre. I made the bow using Watermelon cardstock with the poinsettia built using watermelon and gold foil cardstock. Both the lantern shaped card as well as the tag have been adde with gold twine. Make a few of the tags in different colours to add to your tree or attach to the gifts.

Supplies:

For the second card, I used more of the new Border dies. I used the A Savior is Born border die and the Follow the Star die along with The Very Best Gift stamp set for the sentiment. I used them to make card this time.

I used TE’s Here Comes the Sun stencil and a few TE dye ink to sponge using TE blender brushes to make the background. I really love how it turned out especially paired with the A Savior is Born border die cut in Oreo. I added the star die cut in gold foil from Follow the Star border die set on the middle of the rays sponged background. Initially I wanted it to a full card front but I had to trim this panel as I did not like the bottom bit of the panel. I roughed the edges before adhering on the Toffee card base. The sentiment is from The Very Best Gift stamp set which I gold heat embossed using TE gold detailed embossing powder on Buttercream Frosting cardstock and die cut using Doubled Ended Flag die. I also wrapped the card front with natural twine to give that rustic feel. A few stars using white gel pen on the background completes the card.
