October is right around the corner and the festive season has began. I am not sure about where you live, my stores have started selling festive decors and foods. It is early for me nonetheless the festive season is coming. Today starts the day #1 of Taylored Expressions October release. I have two projects to share with you today. So sit back relax and enjoy!
The first project feature one of my favourite animals – the Sloth. I love them and more so after watching Ice Age series many times. So when I saw the stamp set with sloth in it, I died! lol! This set is called Born to be Mild! Love the name of this set. Very perfect. This set also has matching die set.

This set has so many accessories and sentiment to make a festive Christmas cards but I decided to combine with another new background stamp called It’s a Jungle and its coordinating die to make a belated birthday card.

I simply stamped the images from both the stamp sets using Oreo hybrid ink on Sugar Cube cardstock panel and coloured them using copic markers. Using the coordinating dies, I die cut them all out. For the background, I used the clouds stencil and Sprinkles ink to sponge and create clouds background using the Blender brushes. Then I adhered the die cut using foam adhesives. The sentiment from the stamp set is simply stamped using Oreo ink and die cut using the double ended flag die from the stacklet. I adhered this at the bottom of the panel using foam adhesive. The whole panel is adhered to the Sugar Cube card base using foam adhesive. Lots of dimension but not very bulky. I used white gel pen to add highlights to the coloured die cuts. How adorable is the Sloth? I love him/her.

My second projects uses the new Fluffly Friends Holidays stamp set and the coordinating die. This set has so many cute animals, accessories and sentiments to make adorable Christmas cards.

I combined another new background stamp called Boughs & Berries and a new Stacklet die called Label Stacklets 12 to make my card. I also used sentiment from the new Simple Strips Christmas stamp set.
Here is my card using these gorgeous products.

I stamped the cat, presents and bird images from the Fluffy Friend stamp set using Oreo ink and coloured using copic markers. Using the coordinating die, I die cut the images out. For the background, I sponged Lollipop, Fruit Punch and the new Watermelon inks using blender brushes on the card front. The front panel is stamped with the new Boughs & Berries background stamp using Mint Julep ink and die cut using the second die from the new Label Stacklets 12 dies. I adhered this panel on the card front using foam adhesive for dimension. Then in the window I adhered the die cuts from Fluffy Friends. The sentiment is from the new Simple Strips Christmas stamp set. I stamped the entire panel using Oreo ink on the new watermelon cardstock and die cut using the Simple Strips die. I now have a bunch of sentiments to use. I used one of them on this card.

Hey Gayatri,
It’s Charlie from TE. I’m trying to Pin your projects to our Pinterest board for you, but I’m unable because they’re hosted from FLICKR. It gives me the option to pin the ones you’ve embedded straight into your page (like the product of the sloth..etc), but not your actual photos. This is why yours haven’t gotten a chance to be featured on your boards since you updated this. Let me know if there’s a way we can work around this as I want your photos to get shared all around.
