AugustReleaseCountdownDay1

As part of the celebrations, TE is releasing a mini release. The products in this release is Birthday themed of course! So I am so excited to share projects using the new release products.

Today I have two new projects to share. The first project uses the new Gifted Cutting Plate and Gifted background stamp.

Presents card

The Gifted background stamp coordinated with the Gifted Cutting plate and there is also a stencil that coordinates called Gifted 🙂 I love this because I can use the gifted background stamp with either the stencil and/or the cutting plate. And I can use the cutting plate with stencil only. Such a cute and functional idea! Love it. On my card, I used the Gifted stamp with the cutting plate. I stamped, and coloured the gifts using copic markers, then used the cutting plate to die cut them out. I also die cut four more white panel using the cutting plate to use the gifts die cuts to stack and glue under the coloured gift die cuts.

I adhered the negative panel on the card base. and inlaid all the gift die cuts back in plate. The gifts have dimension on them so they pop up. For the sentiment, I used the one of sentiment from Simple Strips Birthday stamp set. I heat embossed all the sentiments on Oreo cardstock and used the Simple Strips die to die cut a whole lot of sentiments. I used one of the sentiment strips on this card. I added highlights using white gel pen.

The second project is my favourite one in this release. The new products I have used are called Big Cake stamp set with its coordinating die and Simple Strips Birthday.

I love this big and beautifully detailed Big Cake stamp set. How gorgeous are the details. The size of the image is big that it will be THE focal image on the card. You do not need anything else. The candles are seperate images. So you have a choice to use the candles or not.

I smooshed the TE liquid watercolors on watercolour cardstock, then stamping the images using Oreo hybrid ink and colouring the details using copic markers to make them pop. I will list all the liquid watercolors I used in the supply list below. I added white details using white gel pen. Then using the coordinating die, I die cut the big cake and candles out. I glued the candles to the big cake.

For the background of the card, I used the Streamers embossing folder from TE to dry emboss the panel. This adds subtle interest, dimension and texture to the background instead of just the plain white panel. I trimmed the panel and adhered to the card front using craft foam. Then adhered the big cake die cut on top of the embossed panel using foam adhesives. The sentiment is from Simple Strips Birthday stamp set stamped in Oreo hybrid ink on Candy Corn cardstock. Using the Simple Strip die, I die cut them. I used three of the sentiment strips on the card. Thats the card done.

    Dear Gayatri
Love love love both sets and both cards are pretty but i love the Big Birthday cake stamp set. your coloing sure pops it. Congratulations Taylored Expressions

  4. Beautiful cards! I love the white detail on the first cards!

  5. These are so so fun!! I usually stay away from rubber cling stamps, but I’m tempted to get these when they release. Can you use them in a stamp positioner or are they too thick? That’s my biggest worry.

    • Thank you Tracy. Yes you can use them in a Stamp Positioner. I always use MISTI to stamp so I can stamp couple of times to get even coverage. There is a stencil and a cutting plate to go with the stamp. All of the products are available at TE store. Enjoy your shopping 🙂
