This is my first Christmas card for the season. Hooray! I have made a start! Lol! This beautiful Poinsettia background stamp from Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember release inspired me to make the start. I watercoloured the background stamp and throughly enjoyed the process. So here is the card I made with the new Poinsettia background stamp.

I stamped the image on Bristol Smooth cardstock using black ink which is watercolour compatible. I used MISTI to stamp and get good coverage. Then I used Zig clean colour brush pens in pink and green to coloured the poinsettias. I added the pink to the bottom and centre of each petal and green to the edges of the petal. Using the water brush, I blended the colours. Then I added dots using the pink brush pen for tone on tone effect, followed by white gel pen. Using the largest stitched wonky die, I die cut a stitched panel out of it. I adhered this panel on a kraft card base using craft foam for dimension. The sentiment is from an older Christmas stamp set from Simon called Retro Christmas. I simply stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment on a strip of kraft cardstock and layered it with gold glitter cardstock using foam adhesives before gluing on the top of the poinsettia panel. That is it! Card is finished. I have a broad strip of the coloured poinsettia left over after die cutting the panel. I think I will use it to make another card and share. Here are some closeups of the card.
