Happy Monday! Hope you have all had a good weekend. Mine was good until Saturday evening. Then it took a turn. Anyway, I am here to share a very floral card today with you. I am looking forward to spring and hence the floral card.

Hi, I am Gayatri. Today’s project uses all products from Simon Says Stamp. I used the Gerbera Daisy background stamp and coloured using Faber Castell Polychromos colour pencils.

Thanks card

So I stamped the Gerbera Daisy background stamp on white cardstock using Simon’s black ink using MISTI. Then I went to town colouring the background using Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils. I picked rich colours of burgundy, muted pink, navy, mustard and moss colours to colour the images. I am loving this colour combo. Again these colours are so trendy in the interior design. I roughed the edges of the cardstock panel and wrapped the panel with jute twine to make a bow. Then adhered this panel to the card base.

For the sentiment, I used the CZ Design Just Words No 1 dies. I die cut the Thanks die from the set using woodgrain cardstock and twice more using white cardstock. Then stacked glued them with the woodgrain die cut on the top. I adhered this on top a strip of vellum which I trimmed with fishtail ends. Then adhered this to the card front just above the juste wrap. I then contemplated on adding some embellishments. Then after sometime back and forth, I decided not to. I love the colours panel and I want the panel to be the highlight of the card.

I really love love the colours on this card. Hope my card inspires you to pick a background stamp and colour using colour pencils. Thank you very much for stopping by today. Have a lovely day!
