Trick or Treat! TE August Release Sneak Peek Day #3

Welcome back! It is Day #3 of Taylored Expressions August release. All the new release products are release tomorrow, Thursday 8th of August at 9.00am.

Today both my projects are Halloween themed. Although I don’t celebrate halloween, I love to make halloween themed projects. I think it more because of the halloween colours. I made full use of those colours on my projects today.

Here is my first project. I used the new Mini Strips Halloween and coordinating die along with an older background stamp called Bare Trees on this card.

I black heat embossed the Bare Trees background on sugar cube panel. Then I used TE dye inks to sponge the background. To sponge the inks, I used TE blender brushes. I will list all the TE dye inks used in the supplies list below. I trimmed the panel and adhered it to Pineapple card base.

On a Pineapple card panel, I stamped the Mini Strips halloween sentiment in Oreo ink using MISTI. Using the coordinating die, I die cut the sentiments out. I adhered foam adhesive behind the sentiment strips and adhered randomly on top of the background panel. A few star sequins from Halloween sequins collection scattered around to complete the card.

For the second project, I made cute trick or treat boxes for halloween. I used TE’s All Tucked In box die along with the new All Tucked In Windows and All Tucked In Halloween clear stamp set.

I die cut three boxes using All Tucked In die using Eggplant, Pumpkin and Lime Zest cardstock. Then using the All Tucked In Windows die, I die cut the window on all three boxes. Then I used the images from All Tucked In Halloween stamp set to stamp randomly all over the boxes die cut in Oreo Ink. Using the acetate sheet, I covered the windows. Then I assembled the boxes. Then I used the Trick or Treat sentiment from Mini Strips Halloween stamp set stamped in the same coloured cardstocks, die cut using the coordinating die to adhere on the centre of the boxes. For the inside of the boxes, I trimmed a few tiny long strips of the same coloured cardstocks, crumbled them and stuffed the boxes. Now I only need to put in halloween treats when time comes. 🙂 These boxes are so easy to make.

Hope you liked my projects today. My favourite is the Mini Strips Halloween sentiment stamp set and coordinating die. There is also a Mini Strips Harvest sentiment stamp set which is released tomorrow. So easy to stamp a few sentiments and using one die to die cut all of them. Great! Anything that makes life easier, I love it. There are couple of bigger stamp set of this version already in the store. These are must have if you are a cardmaker.
