Freshly Picked Florals! TE August Sneak Peek Day #1

It is August!!! Can you believe, we are past half way through the year! I cannot believe it is August already. This year is going fast for me. Anyway, hope you are all having a lovely day! From today till Thursday, I am sharing with you sneak peeks of Taylored Expressions release for the month of August. So get ready with your wishlist and pen.

Hello and Welcome, I am Gayatri. Today I have couple of floral cards to share using few new products from Taylored Expressions

For the first card, I have used the new Freshly Picked Floral stamp set and coordinating dies along with the new Shiplap background stamp.

I used the Shiplap background stamp for the background. I stamped the image using versamark and clear embossed the background using TE Clear detailed embossing powder on Sea Salt cardstock panel. I love love shiplap. I mean who doesn’t? After watching endless episodes of Fixer Upper and Joanna Gaines using shiplap on all her house reno, I am like come to mamma when I saw Shiplap background stamp. Lol! This background stamp is one of my favourite from the release.

The flower and leaves clusters are made using the new Freshly Picked Florals stamp set. This is a clear stamp set. Yes! TE is bringing out more clear stamp sets. I am so happy about it. I love the quality of rubber stamped images but there is something about clear stamp sets. I think it is the versatility. Anyway, this set is a layering stamp set (yay!) and the best part is that there is coordinating dies for the set too. I have used I have used yellow, dusty pinks with green and muted blue green inks to stamp the images and die cut them to make the clusters.

The sentiment is from the new Handlettered Sentiment stamp set. Nice big and bold sentiments. What I love about this stamp set is that there is coordinating dies for the set. I black heat embossed the sentiment and die cut using the coordinating die. Using the foam strips, I adhered the sentiment die cut. A few Nuvo white crystal drops to finish off the card.

The second card is also a floral card. On this card, I used the new Foliage background stamp along with the new Layer it Rustic Floral dies.

I used the Foliage Background stamp for the background. I used a few green inks from Distress Inks to stamp and mist to get the watercolour effect, depth and variation. Turned out so pretty. Love the watercolour texture. I used TE watercolour paper to stamp.

For the floral die cuts, I used the ink smooshing technique using distress inks on watercolour paper. When dry, I used Layer It Rustic Floral dies to die cut. I layered and glue the layers and made two clusters. I adhered the bigger cluster on the top of the circle on the background panel using foam adhesive. The smaller cluster on the bottom of the circle on the background panel framing the circle.

The sentiment is from Handlettered Sentiment stamp set. I used the same stamp set on my first project. I black heat embossed the sentiment and die cut using coordinating die. I adhered on the centre of the circle using foam adhesive. I adhered this panel to Toffee card base. A few white Nuvo crystal drops to finish off the card.

I love these new products from the new release. The Freshly Picked Floral stamp set and dies are beautiful. Background stamps are versatile and so is the Layer It Rustic Floral stamp set. Handlettered Sentiment stamp set is nice and bold and love that they have coordinating dies. Which ones are going in your wish list?
