HBD card set!

I am down with flu. But thankfully I got my flu shot. So my symptoms are not debilitating. Having said that, I am still not be fully functional. Yet nothing stops me from crafting. I made couple of cards and a did a voice over for a video, edited, wrote a blog post…. This is me. I cannot sit still or rest. So here I am sharing with you couple of the cards I made.

Hello and welcome! I am Gayatri , a Papercrafter. Today I have two birthday cards to share. I have been ink blending a lot and loving the technique. Both the cards today features ink blending. Both the cards are very clean and simple. The ink blending and colours are the highlights on the cards. All products I have used on both the cards are from Simon Says Stamp. So here they are:

I simply masked white cardstock panel to get a large strip to blend the inks. On one panel, I used Simon’s Mint, High Dive, Island Blue and Deep Sea dye inks. On the other, I sponged Lemon Chiffon, Sunshine, Orange Burst and Doll Pink. Then I removed the masks. I stamped the sentiment from Simon’s Tiny Words Birthday stamp set below the ink blended strip using black ink and MISTI to get the sentiments straight.

Then I used the CZ design HBD die on the ink blended strip. I die cut two using white cardstock and one using gold glitter cardstock. I stacked and glued them with the gold glitter on top. I adhered this on the centre of the ink blended strip. Then I trimmed the panel to 4″ x 5.25″ inches in size and adhered to white card base using foam adhesives. A few confetti from Simon’s Groovy sequins collection to finish off the card.
