So hope you are having a great week! Mine is busy catching up on washings and ironings because last week was raining throughout. Although cold, sun is shining and hence catching up on household chores. Rain is coming back weekend again. Apart from that I have also been busy with projects for upcoming releases. So I cannot wait to share them soon.
Hello and I am Gayatri. Welcome back. Today’s card is a mermaid card usng Taylored Expressions June release products. I have used the Be a Mermaid stamp set and dies and Sweet Scallop stencil.
I sponged TE inks on the Sweet Scallop stencil to create the background. The colours I used are TE Mint Julep, Cookie Monster, Blueberry and Blue Corn. Sponging the light colours in the centre and building to the darker colours towards the edges gives the glowing look to the focal images when place in the centre of the background.
I stamped the coloured the sea shells from Be a Mermaid stamp set and die cut them using the coordinating dies. Then sponged a scrap piece of Sugar Cube cardstock with some pink and orange inks from TE to die cut the solid mermaid tail using the die. The details layer of the mermaid tail, I die cut using TE gold foil cardstock. I glued the layering die cut over the solid die cut.
I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set on the centre of the panel using Oreo hybrid ink, followed by versamark to clear heat emboss the sentiment. Then I clustered glued all the die cuts framing the sentiment. A few clear sequins from Snow Flurries sequin collection finishes off the card.
Thank so much for taking the time to visit my blog. Have a lovely day. I will see you tomorrow with more project shares 🙂 Bye for now.
