Hope you had a wonderful weekend. I had a housebound weekend mostly except for couple of hours at a friend’s place for a pooja. That is because of wild wet weather. This is the fourth day of wind gusts, massive downpour, very cold and dark days. Couple of more days of the same weather predicted. We want to the rain but the wind is just too windy. So the feel temperature is colder than actual temperature. Makes things worse. I don’t do well in cold weather. My nails are blue at the moment. Very cold! Brrrrr!
Hei, I am Gayatri and welcome to my blog. I am sharing a card I made using Taylored Expressions June release products. I used the Wild Flower stamp to make this card. I also did some masking and ink blending techniques.
I masked a white panel three times in various sizes. Then sponged TE dye inks in Candy Corn, Lollipop and Plum Punch colours. Then I removed the mask and stamped the Wildflower image in Te Oreo Hybrid ink. I used MISTI to get good even coverage.
Then using copic marker in the same colours as the dye ink but slightly darker shade, I coloured the flowers and leaves inside the sponged areas only. This makes the flowers pop against the ink blending background. I trimmed this panel and adhered on a Sugar Cube card base using craft foam.
For the sentiment, I white heat embossed the sentiment from Complementary stamp set on Oreo cardstock. I used the Petite Scallop Rectangle die to trim the cardstock. I adhered this on the bottom centre of the panel using foam adhesive. A few TE enamel shapes to finish off the card.
How do you like my project for today? This layout is very versatile. You can change colours to cool colours to make a cool tone card. Do rainbow colours and the card is totally different. Add more masked areas or vary the sizes of the masks and you get a different card. The possibilities are endless. If you make a project inspired by mine, please share and tag. I love to see them 🙂
Have a lovely Monday and I will see you tomorrow!
