Make a Splash with Taylored Expressions June Release Day #2

Welcome back to Day #2 of Taylored Expressions June release. Hope you enjoyed my projects yesterday day #1. Today I have two projects to share using two or more new products. They both are water themed. Hope you like them.

My first project is using the new stamp set and die called Be a Mermaid. It is a gorgoeus Mermaid tails stamp set. I combined this set with the new Build a Background Waves stamp and die combo to make this card.

So I used the Build a Background Waves stamp and die combo to build my background for the mermaid tails. The inks I used are Toffee, Sprinkles, Cookie Monster and Blue Raspberry TE dye inks. Using the dies, I die cut couple of slits. I die cut this panel using one of the largest stitched square die from Stitched Square Stacklet.

For the mermaid tails, I sponged distress inks on three small panels. I will list all the distress inks I used on the supply list below. Using the Be a Mermaid coordinating dies I die cut the panels out and layered with gold mermaid diecut cut out of TE gold foil cardstock. I stuck the mermaid tails into the slits and adhered on the back with glue and foam on end of the tail for dimension.

This square panel is adhered on Sugar Cube card base using foam adhesive and the sentiment is stamped using Oreo hybrid ink using MISTI. A few Snow Flurries sequins with white Nuvo crystal drops to complete the card.

Now my second project is also water themed. I am showcasing the new Rainbow Waves background stamp set. I used emboss resist technique to achieve the background.

So the background is emboss resist. I white heat embossed the Rainbow Waves background stamp on Sugar Cube panel, then sponged distress inks to add colour. I will list all the distress inks I used on this card in the supply list below. I trimmed the panel and adhered to the Sugar Cube card base using foam adhesive.

For the focal point, I used an Inside Scallop Circle die to die cut out of Sugar Cube panel. Then I stamped the sentiment from Floaties stamp set using Oreo ink and MISTI. The focal die cut image is die cut using Build A Scene Underwater dies and distress inks sponged panels. I adhered this on the centre of the Rainbow Waves background panel using foam adhesives. A few white Nuvo crystal drops to finish off the card.
