Every one should do something creative everyday. That is my opinion. It can be anything. Any form of art is acceptable. I think being creative gives oneself a sense of achievement and satisfaction that they did it themselves. Do you agree?
Hello and welcome. I am Gayatri, a papercrafter. Next three days, I am sharing two projects each day I have made using two new soon to be released products from Taylored Expressions.
So in today’s post, I am sneak peeking two stamp sets. The first one is called Create in Color background stamp along with Complementary stamp set. The second stamp set is called Do Something Creative. Lets start with Create In Color background stamp project.
So I stamped the Create in Color background stamp on Sugar Cube cardstock using Oreo ink and coloured them using copic markers. The using the Light Up the Night stencil (which is new), I applied Moonstone glimmer paste to only the top portion of the panel. This added subtle texture to the card.
Using the sentiment from Complementary stamp set, I stamped three of them on Sugar Cube cardstock using Plum Punch, Lollipop and Cookie Monster TE dye inks. Then using the Little Bits Lets Talk Bubbles 3 die, I die cut the sentiments out and adhered using foam adhesives. This entire panel is adhered on card base. The card is finished.
Now to the second project, I am sneak peeking Do Something Creative stamp set. This set also has coodinating dies. But I decided to used them the stamp set to make a one layer card.
So I die cut a circle out of masking paper using one of the Stitched Circle die from Stitched Circle Stacklet and adhered on the top centre of the Sugar Cube panel. I used the bone folder to burnish the circle on the panel. Then using the Oreo hybrid ink, I stamped all the images from the Do Something Creative stamp set randomly all over the panel making sure I stamp the images half on the masking paper and half outside on the panel. Then I removed the masking paper and stamped the sentiment from stamp set in the middle of the circle using Oreo hybrid ink and MISTI.
I coloured all the images using copic markers and outlined them using C1 cool grey marker to add shading. Three heart shaped enamel shape from Oreo enamel shape collection to frame the sentiment finishes off the card. I trimmed this panel slighly smaller than the card front adhered on the Sugar Cube card base. So this card did not end up as one layer card after all 🙂
