Simon Says Stamp Blossoms and Butterflies Release!

I am so excited about Simon Says Stamp’s new release today. It is called Blossoms and Butterflies!

Oh my, it is a gorgeous release. So many gorgeous stamp sets and dies and stencils. I love butterflies and there are two of them in the release. One background stamp and one stamp set. As if that is not enough, I am in love with the Wake Up and Make Up stamp set and dies. I really wanted one such set because I recently dived into the makeup world. A story I will tell you in another post. For today I have used the new Dahlia Frame die and Mesh stencil to make my card.

Here is my card.

On the background I used the new Mesh stencil with distress inks. For the Dahlia Frame, the plan was to die cut out of the distress ink sponged panel and adhere. But when I die cut looked more pretty with the embossed look rather than die cut look. So I left all the pieces in place except the frame. So I used foam adhesives on the inside panel and glued the frame around the panel to the background.

Love the contrast of colours between the Dahlia panel and the background panel. Also love the contrast of geometric background to floral focal panel.

The sentiment is from Wake Up and Make Up stamp set which I white heat embossed on black cardstock and die cut using the Sentiment Labels die. I finished off the card with some Simon’s Birthday Cake sequins.

I want to share a photo just for fun. Charlie, my dog is always with me in my room when I craft. He is always curious of every card I photograph. He needs to check them out and sniff. 🙂 Sometimes I take a photo of him looking into my photo set up, other times I happen to click and his head comes into the frame. I don’t normally share those photos. Today, he came into the frame as I clicked. I decided to share this photo just for fun. Hope you enjoy.
