Are you ready for Spring? TE Feb release day #1 sneak peek!

Hello lovelies! How are you? Hope you had a wonderful weekend. I am feeling much better after two weeks of flu. I feel I have some energy to do work and not feel exhausted. So happy to back in action. School for my daughter who is in year 12 has started for this year (BTW in Australia the school is from Feb to Dec), my son is in second year of Medical school and his classes also started and hubby’s work is back to normal routine after all the summer holiday changes. You know what that means? Charlie and I at home all to ourselves. That also means more time to craft. I cannot wait to dive back in. So many projects to do, videos planned, organisation as well as posting cards to friends which I was supposed to do couple of months ago. I am lazy in sending out cards. I will definitely send out cards to people who have sent me Christmas cards and other cards. I Promise!

Anyway that is a long intro. This blog post is the first day sneak peek of Taylored Expressions Feburary release. I cannot wait to share my projects. This release is Spring and Easter themed products. I am sure many of you in the northern hemisphere are dying for sun to shine since the polar vortex freeze. I hope my project today and next few days bring you the joy of spring and warmth of the sun.

Today I am showcasing two new products. The first on is a stamp set. This set is called Stacked Seasons – Spring background stamp.

This stamp is gorgeous. You can do so many colouring techniques with it. I coloured the image using TE liquid watercolors and added shading with Faber Castell colour pencils

Then I die cut the panel using Petite Scallop Rectangle Stacklet die from TE and mounted on a Pink Champagne card base using foam adhesives. I also brushed some TE liquid shimmer on the flowers and eggs and added glossy accents on the dots and flower centers.

This is a simple and easy to make card because the image is both the focal point and sentiment. All the supplies used to make this card are listed below.

The second product I am showcasing today is an easter/spring stamp set called Cutting Edge – Spring stamp set and die. This is another addition to the Cutting Edge series which I love.

I used the line of critters image along with the die and combined it with some older Build A Scene dies and stencil to make this easter card.

I stamped, coloured the image with copic markers and die cut using the die which comes with the set. Then I added sponged clouds using Build a Scene Rolling Clouds, Grass using Build a Scene Rolling Grass, sun rays using Here Comes the Sun stencil and sun using the smallest Inside Scallop Circle die. The sentiment also from the stamp set is white heat embossed on Pink Champagne cardstock and die cut using Double Ended Flag banner die. I ran glitter pen around the outline of the clouds, grass, sun rays, sun and the cheeks of the critters. I added a few drops of white crystal drops to tie in all the white together.

I love creating scenes. I mean scenery not a scene! lol! They are a bit of work but totally worth it. All supplies used to make this card are listed below.

Taylored Expressions is giving away free Let’s Talk Edger die with the purchase of Fiesta Friends Bundle. See the graphics below for details for it is valid only from Feburary 7th to 10th only.

There is also a giveway on TE blog. So please visit Taylored Expressions Blog for more details and also rest of the designer’s inspiration on day #1 sneak peek.

I will see you tomorrow with day #2 sneak peek.

  1. Your idea for critters peaking out from behind letters gave me an idea for making birthday cards for my granddaughter’s friends. I can stamp their names on the front and use whatever I choose to peek out from behind – maybe their favorite animal or food or whatever. Thanks for some very useful inspiration!
