Another Christmas Card!

Hey everyone, A quick post today sharing another poinsettia Christmas card. For this card, I used Taylored Expressions Big Bloom: Poinsettia stamp set and die.

I stamped the Big Blooms: Poinsettia image on Bristol Smooth cardstock trimmed to the size of the card front using Oreo hybrid ink from TE. Then watercoloured them using TE’s Cherry Pop, Lemon meringue and Peapod Liquid Watercolors. Then I spattered some Oreo and Shimmer Liquid watercolors on the panel and left the panel to dry.

I prepared the card base. The card base has vellum front and Sugar Cube panel on the back. I trimmed TE Heavyweight Vellum to 4.25×6 inches in size, scored at 5.50 inches and adhered the fold to the back of the Sugar Cube panel making a card base.

Now back to the watercoloured image panel, I used the coordinating poinsettia die to partially die cut the image. Then used exacto knife to trimmed off the edges. I adhered this panel to the top of the vellum card front using score tape. The card front has watercoloured poinsettia image partially die cut on top half and vellum on the bottom half. I love the subtle wintery feel vellum gives to the card front.

For the sentiment, I black heat embossed Merry Christmas from TE’s Simply Stamped Christmas stamp set on a strip of Sugar Cube cardstock, trimmed and sponged with Cherry Pop TE dye ink in an ombre. I adhered this below the poinsettia image using foam adhesives. Finally added a few gold stickles for festive feel.
