Altenew Watercolor 36 Pan Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

August 9, 2018 Altenew

Hello everyone,

Welcome to Altenew’s Watercolor Pan Set release blog hop.

If you have arrived from Lydia Evans’s Blog, then you are on the right track. If not don’t worry, I will list all the designers participating in the blog hop towards the end of the post.

I am very excited to be part of the Watercolor Pan Set release. Watercolour is one of my favourite mediums. Here are the details of this new Watercolor 36 Pan Set.

This beautiful set of 36 vibrant watercolor half-pans coordinates perfectly with our line of ink. They are intensely pigmented, fade minimally when drying, and some colors have lovely granulating effects. They are stored in a convenient plastic case, designed with space for your brush (included) and a palette in the lid for mixing. Some of the case lids snap off upon opening and can easily snap back on after you are finished creating so you can store your mixed paints with the rest of the pan colors.

The set contains

  • 36 Artist Grade Watercolor Half-Pans

Pink Diamond, Forest Glades, Evergreen, Paper Bag, Puffy Heart, Frayed Leaf, Mountain Mist, Mocha, Purple Wine, Bamboo, Lagoon, Espresso, Cosmic Berry, Citrus Burst, Emerald, Industrial Diamond, Cotton Candy, Fresh Lemon, Ocean Waves, Moon Rock, Coral Berry, Warm Sunshine, Dusk, Jet Black, Rubellite, Sunkissed, Desert Night, Lavender Fields, Grapvine, Orange Cream, Caribbean Sky, Deep Iris, Crimson, Autumn Blaze, Persian Blue, Midnight Violet

  • Plastic Case

  • Water Brush

I have a few projects using the new watercolor pan set. So make a cup of tea or coffee and browse through.

On this card, I have used Parrot Paradise stamp set and coordinating dies along with Tree Ring Die to make this card. I stamped the images from Parrot Paradise stamp set on watercolor paper and coloured the images using the new watercolor pan set. Once dry, I die cut them all using the coordinating dies. The Tree Ring die cut is cut out of woodgrain cardstock and lightly washed with watercolour and sponged with distress ink to give depth and definition. Then I clustered all the die cuts and adhered in the middle of the card front. Sentiment is white heat embossed on a strip of white cardstock and sponged with Orange Cream Altenew ink. Finally embellished with sparkling clear sequins. Here are some closeups of the card.

I love the pop of colours against the white background. The watercolours are so easy to work with. Love that they come in Altenew colours so they are colour matched with Altenew inks and cardstocks. I will list all the supplies I used to make this card below.

Supplies:

On this card, I used the new watercolor pan set not only to colour the parrot and leaves but also to add a light wash on the background. The watercolor pans are highly pigmented so you can add water to dilute the colour to lighted the colour for light watercolour wash for backgrounds or for adding first layer.

The sentiment I white heat embossed on a strip of red cardstock, trimmed and adhered using foam adhesives. Finally embellished with sparkling clear sequins.

Supplies:

I created a watercoloured background for my next card.

The stamp set I used to make the background is called Whimsical Flowers stamp set. I stamped an entire watercolour paper randomly with the images from the stamp set using Altenew Crisp black ink. Then used the new Watercolor Pan Set to colour the flowers, leaves and the background. Once dry, I die cut the paper using a stitched rectangle die and adhered the panel to a kraft card base using foam adhesives.

For the focal point, I stamped the flowers and leaves from Frosted garden stamp set using altenew inks and die cut using the coordinating dies. The clustered glued them for the focal image. The sentiment is from Many Thanks stamp set white heat embossed on strips of black cardstocks. To make the focal sentiment and image pop, I adhered them on top of a vellum panel die cut using a stitched rectangle die. This panel is adhered to the watercoloured background using foam adhesives hidden behind the sentiment and floral cluster. A few clear droplets to finish off the card.

All the supplies used to make this card are listed below.

Supplies:

Hope you liked all my projects for today. I have a few more cards made using the new Watercolor Pan set. I will share them over the next few days.
