Pick Your Poison – TE sneak peek day #1

July 30, 2018 Taylored Expressions

Hey everybody,

Today is the start of Taylored Expressions August release sneak peek. I am so excited to share Fall and Halloween themed products for the next four days. Are you ready?

Today I have couple of projects. The first one is a 3D Halloween themed project.

This project showcases the new Potion Carrier and Potion Bottles along with Pick Your  Poison stamp set.

To decorate the Potion Bottles, I stamped images from Pick Your Poison on Cut & Color Me Sticker Paper using Oreo hybrid ink and coloured using copic markers. Then using TE stitched Oval die, I die cut them out. Then I trimmed the houndstooth black and white pattern paper from Playful Pattern black and White 6×6 pack and adhered the coloured sticker on the middle. I filled the bottles with stickles. I just could not find halloween coloured candies at this time of the year.

For the potion carrier, I simply sponged the edges of the box with Vintage Photo distress ink. Then again I used the left over Houndstooth black and white pattern paper, a strip of the new Eggplant cardstock, some pom pom ribbon along with the round image from Pick Your Poison stamp set to decorate the carrier box.

For the inside of the box, I added a long wide strips of the new Sweet Potato Pie cardstock to line the inside of the carrier. Then I cut Sweet Potato Pie, Candy Corn, Eggplant, Oreo and Granny Smith cardstock into tiny strips, then cut them in half and crunched them to add inside the Potion Carrier box for the bottles to rest on. Don’t think you can see them clearly in my photos but it is there if you look closely.

Supplies:

My next project is a shaker card. I have showcased the two new products – The Candy Shoppe Shaker with Shaker Fillings along with Shattered Stencil.

On a 4″x5.25″ Sugar Cube panel, I sponged Hickory Smoke distress ink on Shattered stencil. I faded the ink towards the centre of the panel. Then I die cut three circles vertically using the circle die from the Candy Shoppe Shaker die set. I adhered window acetate behind the panel.

On three scrap pieces of Sugar Cube cardstock, I sponged Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed and Dusty Concord distress inks. I die cut this sponged pieces with the candy dies from the Candy Shoppe Shaker die set. I adhered the die cut on the negative circle spaces on the panel along with the wrapper pieces.

On the card front, I masked and sponged the same distress inks which will become the background of the Candy shakers. I added foam on the back of the panel, added the colour coordinating shaker filling and adhered the card base on top.

The sentiment is from Tomb Stone Tomb stamp set which I white heat embossed on a strip of Oreo cardstock and adhered on the middle Candy shaker. I also added white Nuvo crystal drops on the edges of the wrapper die pieces.

Love the Candy Shoppe Shaker dies. So glad TE had Shaker Fillings as well. This Candy Shaker dies is versatile die. I can see using the die to make birthday cards as well. All the supplies used to make this card are listed below.
