Winnie & Walter June Rerun!

June 8, 2018 Winnie & Walter.

Hello everyone,

Welcome to Winnie & Walter June Rerun Feature

This monthly feature showcases one of the W&W products by the design team. This product is also on sale for this month only. Plus there is also a challenge and giveaway. I will detail them towards the end of the post.

This month we are featuring, Scenery Into the Woods stamp set.

This set is big 6×8 stamp set. Images are large enough to cover the whole card front. Great images to create background. I used the outline woodgrain image subtly on the background of my card.

I stamped a white background panel with the woodgrain stamp using SSS Fog ink. I used MISTI to stamp couple of times to get even coverage. Then I die cut this panel using the largest of the rectangle die from Essentials: Katherine Cutaway. One the panel, I used Typecast: Cary Cutaway to die cut the word wonderful. I them made a shaker out of the negative panel and adhered the shaker on a Slate Gray card base.

Using MISTI I stamped the “you” sentiment three times in black ink. This YOU sentiment is from In a Word: Love stamp set. To add some colourful elements to the card, I pearl white heat embossed the flower, leaves and foliage from In Bloom: Addie’s Garden stamp set and sponged them with distress inks. I used two shades of each colour: Ripe Persimmon and Carved Pumpkin, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn, Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed. Using the coordinating die, I die cut the images out. I clustered glued them on the bottom right of the shaker panel.

All supplies used to make this card are listed below.

Here are the details of the rerun challenge.

  1. Create a new project using Scenery: Into the Woods stamp set.(and/or coordinating cutaways and/or the coordinating cut files).  An alternative to using Scenery: Into the Woods stamp set. (and/or coordinating cutaways and/or the coordinating cut files) is to create a new project using one of the projects featured in this post (or any Rerun post throughout August) as your inspiration.  Make sure you use at least one (1) w&w product (this can include a freebie) in your project.  If you choose the alternative to using Scenery: Into the Woods stamp set(and/or coordinating cutaways and/or the coordinating cut files), please include in your post or project description which project inspired you and how.
  2. Link up your project here by 11:55 p.m. CST on May 31, 2018.
  3. Enter as many times as you want before the deadline.
  4. This Rerun Challenge may be combined with other challenges found here on the w&w blog or elsewhere.
One project will be randomly chosen to win $25.00 credit to the w&w shop!  The winner will be announced on the Giveaway Winners page or in it’s very own post on the w&w blog.
