Hello Rainbow! Day #3 Sneak Peek of Taylored Expressions June Release.

Welcome back! Today is day #3 sneak peeks. I hope you are enjoying the sneak peeks of Taylored Expressions June release so far. Love summer themed products and my favourite release. As always, two more projects to share with you today. Both of them have rainbow colours on them. 🙂

The first project showcases the new Chevies Background Stamp. I have combined this stamp with the new Hello Script Backer die and the Hello Script die.

I stamped the coloured the new Chevies background stamp using copic markers. I did a rainbow colour with two shades of each colour for a bit of depth.

For the sentiment, I die cut the new Hello script Backer die using the Oreo cardstock and five Hello Script die using Sugar Cube cardstock. I sponged rainbow colours of TE inks on one of the Hello Script die cut. The colours I used are Guava, Candy Corn, Lime Zest, Mint Julip, Cookie Monster, Lollipop. All are TE dye inks. I stacked glued all the Hello Script die cuts with the rainbow diecut on the top. Then this stack is glued on the Oreo backer die cut.

Since the background panel is colourful and busy, I added a smaller stitched rectangle vellum panel behind the sentiment die cut. This allows the sentiment to pop at the same time coordinate with the background rainbow colours. To tie in all the black elements on the card, I added a few Oreo TE enamel shapes. Simple, easy and quick to make. Change the sentiment to Thanks, Aloha, Birthday… (all of which along with the backer dies are available at TE store), you will get a set of rainbow cards to gift 🙂

Al supplies used to make this card are listed below.

My second project showcases the new Thanks Script Backer die. I combined this die with the Thanks Script die and the new Tropical Fronds background stamp.

I started with die cut the Thanks Script Backer die in rainbow colours using TE cardstocks. I used Watermelon, Candy Corn, Lemon Meringue, Granny Smith, Cookie Monster, Jelly Donut and Lollipop cardstocks. Then I glued them by slightly offsetting each colour. Then on the top I adhered the Thanks Script die cut in Gold Foil cardstock. Love the rainbow effect.

I wanted stark contrast. So I used Oreo cardstock for the base. I didn’t want it solid black. So I stamped the card front with Tropical Fronds Background stamp using Versamark. I used MISTI and double stamped it. Then I wanted a second panel to highlight the rainbow sentiment. So I die cut a Oreo piece of cardstock using one of the stitched rectangle die from the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets. Since my card base and the background stamp was already on the MISTI, I placed this stitched rectangle panel on the card front in the position I wanted using temporary adhesives and stamped the tropical fronds background stamp using versamark. Now there is continuity in the stamped image on both the stitched panel as well as the card front.

I adhered the rainbow thanks stack on the stamped stitched panel and the panel on the card front using foam adhesives. Finally added a few white Nuvo crystal drops to complete the card.
