It is release day @ Tayored Expressions

Hey everyone,Welcome!

Today is the release day at Taylored Expressions. Excited? Yes! All the new April release products are now available at Taylored Expressions store. So get out your list and shop to your heart’s content.

Again, I have two projects today to show you. The first one another Unicorn card with scattered stars background.

Here is how I made this card.

  1. Card base is made out of TE Blue Corn card stock.
  2. I used the new Scattered Stars stencil on the card front and applied white embossing paste. Then when still wet,I added some Star Dust glitter on the stars.
  3. For the panel, I die cut TE heavy vellum paper using the second largest stitched rectangle die from Stitched Rectangle Stacklet.
  4. I then I matted the vellum with a Shimmering white cardstock panel cut slightly smaller to the vellum panel.
  5. I die cut the Sack It Unicorn die using gold glitter and Sugar Cube cardstock. The mane is die cut using Sugar Cube cardstock. I then used Spectrum Noir glitter pen in pastel yellow, lilac and blue to colour the mane.
  6. I assembled the Unicorn on top of the vellum and glued. I love love the flowing mane so much.
  7. Then I added the three Jelly Donut enamel shaped stars to on the right bottom of the panel to balance the panel.
  8. Finally the panel is adhered on the card front using foam adhesives. I did not add any sentiment on the card front because I did not want to take away the focus from the Unicorn. I stamped the sentiment inside the card.

The second project is my most favourite one this release. I used the new Shiver Me Timbers stamp set, coordinating die along with Frayed Edge Stacklet and Treasure Map background stamp.  These are all new products and coordinate very well with each other.

Here is how I made this card:

  1. I stamped the Treasure Map background stamp on a Toffee cardstock panel using Chocolate truffle hybrid ink. This ink is copic friendly.
  2. So I coloured the images using copic markers. I love the muted tone of colour on Toffee cardstock.
  3.  I die cut this panel using the largest of the Frayed Edge die from the stacklet.
  4. Then I sponged the edged with Vintage Photo and Black Soot distress oxide ink. This gives the aged effect.
  5. I also die cut a heavy vellum paper using the third frayed edge die from the stacklet.
  6. I stamped the images from Shiver Me Timbers stamp set on Sugar Cube cardstock piece using Oreo hybrid ink and coloured the images using copic markers.
  7. They were all die cut using the coordinating dies
  8. The sentiment from the stamp set is white heat embossed using TE detailed white embossing powder on a strip of Toffee cardstock and die cut using the largest die from Double Ended Flag Stacklet.
  9. The card base is Toffee cardstock, which I rounded the edges and sponged Vintage Photo and a bit of Black Soot distress oxide ink.
  10. Then I layered the Treasure Map frayed edge panel flush. I clustered the die cut images on the vellum frayed edge panel using foam adhesive and mini wobbler for the head of the pirate. The wobbler gives great interactive effect.
  11. The sentiment is adhered below the cluster using foam adhesive.
  12. This panel is adhered on the Treasure Map panel on the card front using foam adhesives hidden behind the sentiment and cluster of images.

Here are some closeups as the wobbling action of the pirate.
