It’s Christmas time already!

Hello everyone,

Today is day #1 of Taylored Expressions October release! This release is all Christmas themed! So sit back with paper and pen, enjoy the next four days of the release and make your to buy list.

Today I am showcasing two new products. The first one is the 3×4 watercolor panels which are printed with gorgeous Christmas/holiday themed images to watercolour. They are called Jolly Holidays. There are four designs and four of each design in the pack. I have used two of the designs and made a set of two cards.

This first card Happy Holidays I have watercoloured the panel, roughed the edges and wrapped the twine on top with a Cherry Pop enamel round dot on the centre. The background is white heat embossed using the new Snowed in Background stamp. I love the kraft and white combination.

The second card, I used Prisma colour pencils to colour. I am not very thrilled with it as the texture of the watercolour paper made it difficult to blend the colours well. But overall the card turned out good.

The layout of the card and the background remains the same as the previous card.

Check out TE blog for more designers who have used the other two designs to make another set of cards. All the supplies used to make these cards are listed below.

The second product I am showcasing today is a shaker die called Christmas Tree Shaker die. As the name suggests this die is makes easy and quick Christmas tree shaker element. Here is my card using the die.

On the card front I stamped the christmas trees from Spirit of Christmas stamp set using Granny Smith and Peapod TE dye inks. And spattered some inks as well. Then I die cut a rectangle panel using Stitched Rectangle die and vellum paper. I made the Christmas Tree Shaker element using the die, gold foil cardstock and added sequins from Build a Scene Christmas in it. I adhered the Christmas tree element on the vellum paper and adhered the vellum paper on the card front. The sentiment is from Santa and Friends which I stamped on a strip of Sugar Cube cardstock, trimmed and adhered below the Christmas Tree.

This card is easy to mas produce with the wow shaker feature. The die makes it easy. Just die cut all the elements, make shaker tree watching your telly, similarly stamp all the card fronts and spatter, leave it to dry. While the panels are drying stamp the sentiments and die cut the vellum panels. Finally start a assemble line and assemble the card. You can change the colours if you like for variety. Easy! All the supplies used to make this card are listed below.
