Case Study Challenge #174

January 17, 2014 Case Study Challenge, MFT, Uncategorized

Good Morning!

It is Saturday, I normally get excited about weekends. But not today and for two reasons. First, it is school holidays and children are at home anyway and it makes no difference between week day and weekend. Secondly, today is the start of another heat wave. So it is going to be hot. Not as bad as the eastern states but hotter than last week. So plan is to stay indoor and be lazy. Probably craft more 🙂

I love Donna Mikasa’s work and her card at CASE Study Challenge #174 this week is awesome.

Love the sponged colour revealing the embossed sentiment. And the spatter and sequins details are so cool. Love it. So I decided to play along the challenge. Here is my take on the challenge.

Celebrate card
Instead of embossing the sentiment, I used Jennifer’s technique of die cutting the sentiment and using glitter. The dies and stamps are from My Favorite Things I then sponged the blue ink, added spatter, sequins, a few stars and some Diamond Stickles glitter glue blobs as well. I just love how this card turned out.

Thanks for the inspiration, Donna and great choice of muse, Iwona!

Time for coffee now and will see you later today with another challenge card.
