Colour Blocking!!!!

Here in Australia, colour blocking is everywhere!!! Fashion, advertising, television, catalogues, decor…you name it, it is there. So I thought,I will also use colour blocking and make a card for Jay Gee’s Nook challenge. Here is the challenge photo

And here is my card

Colour blocking

I picked only the colours as inspiration because I had idea bulbs lighting up looking at each picture in the collage. I wanted to make 10 cards lol! But due to time constraints, I decided to go with just the colours.
Talking about time, this card took me about two hours to make. I had to sketch, calculate the dimensions for each piece, cut and the blades of my trimmer is blunt at the moment. So I had to sand the edges of all the pieces including the black strips and then glue Sigh! You can see there are some frayed edges I have missed ๐Ÿ™ Cannot wait for my package with the trimmer blade to arrive.

Cardstocks: Stamper’s Select White, Orange Zest, Raspberry Fizz, Pure Poppy, Harvest Delight, Simply Chartreuse, Royal Velvet from PTI and Concord Crush and Basic Black from SU.
Stamp set: Made with Love from Hero Arts

Thanks for stopping by!
